Commute during rush hour on an effective Monday after Mercury just went retrograde: 65 minutes.

Lesson learned: don't leave work at 6pm.

Now why was it you said you wouldn't move out of your current place unless you moved out of the metro area entirely? And what would it take to get you to reconsider? Is this on the list?

If you move, what's to stop you from quitting that job and getting another one back in the District, thus getting an even worse commute in the bargain?
