How 'bout them Serbs?

I could tell when I heard the polls on NPR the other morning that it was pretty much over for Milosevic. I wasn't sure how it would play out, of course. I wasn't surprised at all to hear that he'd claimed that it wasn't a clear victory and that he'd forced a runoff.

I wasn't at all expecting that his lackeys would nullify the election completely and say that another one was required. I think it's only fitting that after the "court" ruled that the election wasn't valid, the people rose up to show their true feelings in the matter.

Here's hoping that power is transferred without further violence. I doubt that the Yugoslav Army will at this point try to force the people back down, but anything can happen in the Balkans.
